Cake Pan, Stands & Equipment Rentals Agreement

This Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Confectionary Chalet / Kathleen Lange Cakes (“Owner”) and the undersigned renter (“Renter”).

Contact Kathleen for rental availability and to reserve items in advance.

Rental Period

• Standard checkout: Wednesday

• Standard return: Monday

If you need a different pickup day, please advise at the time of booking.

Cake Pan Rentals

• Standard rental: 4 days

Please contact us with the date you would like to rent each item.

Renter Responsibility

The renter is responsible for all rented items from pick up until return.  The renter agrees to pay the full replacement cost for any item that is:

• Lost, damaged, stolen, or returned with missing pieces

• Returned without plastic/clear covers for cake stands

• Chipped, cracked, bent, warped, scratched, or broken

• Tarnished or damaged beyond normal wear

Replacement costs may exceed the security deposit. The renter agrees to pay any remaining balance charged to their credit card.

Cleaning & Care

All items must be returned clean and ready for immediate reuse.  If items are returned with:

• Baked-on residue

• Wax, grease, frosting, or food stains

• Water spots, tarnish, or adhesive residue

A cleaning or restoration fee may be deducted from the deposit.

 

Care Instructions:

• Cake pans: Hand wash only in warm, soapy water. Do NOT use the dishwasher. Use parchment paper for easy release.

• Acrylic cake stands: Do NOT submerge in water.

• Use cake boards under cakes to protect surfaces from knives and serving utensils.

• All rentals must be returned clean and with clear covers (if included), or a cleaning fee will apply.​

No Sub-Rental

Renter may not loan, sub-rent, or transfer any rented item to another party.

​

Extended Rentals & Late Returns

• Longer rental periods require an additional rental fee.

• Late returns will incur an additional rental fee charged to the renter’s credit card.

Cancellations & Pickups

• Rental cancellations require a minimum of 7 days’ notice.

• Rentals not picked up within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time will be forfeited.

• No refunds or store credit will be issued for missed pickups.

Agreement Acknowledgment

By renting, you agree to the terms of this Rental Agreement.  At pickup, you will complete a paper copy of this agreement, which will be retained for the duration of the rental period.
